I also hate the snapchat dating culture so much where you need to calculate how much time did it take for the other person to answer and that you need to wait atleast the same time to answer back or if they have location on for you or not etc... like hello what?? I want to be reborn to times where snapchat and other shit like that didn't exist lol

Truly why is dating so hard nowadays, it's like no one wants to try to make a connection;;
Not to mention I still cannot grasp what a situationship is - basically being in a relationship but minus the announcement you're together and effort?? back in my day it was called 'friends with benefits'

a situationship is COMPLETELY different from a friends with benefits because at least, in an fwb, both parties know what the hell they're getting into a situationship is usually when 1 party wants committment but the 2nd party doesn't want to settle and only wants to to reap the benefits of having a relationship without ACTUALLY having to be in an relationship ugh, it's terrible out here. people are too irresponsible with other people's hearts and social media just really hits the nail in the coffin for it all

Never seen a relationship work out tbh, I've gone 18 years without having one and observing the experiences of everyone around me who has had/is currently in one; I really am not missing out on much, the juice is NOT worth the squeeze

I've seen a couple of relationships work out (ppl ik irl) but even then, it's extremely rare to find someone that matches you it's like playing a game at the casino, everything is rigged against you and more often than not, you will leave the casino having lost more than just money. you really aren't missing out on much, if anything, you're probs dodging oppenheimer-level nukes lmao

Oh yeah, I'm water and 99% of people are oil.

It's hard for me to find people I really mix with, I can be mutuals easily with heaps of people that I don't rlly gel with but it can be draining after a while, I can count the amount of people I properly mix with on one hand and none of them are available for a relationship with me to say the least lol. And even with them I'm not really being my true self if yk what I mean, always acting more extraverted than I am and dont have some things I like in the conversation topic mindshare.

I don't want to be in a relationship with anyone that doesn't like stock standard me without the efforts I take to make my personality more generally palatable, I'm pretty damn unique which leads to the fact that so far I've found nobody close to that, maybe I'm picky but knownginly getting into a relationship with an incompatible person is some weird form of torture for both parties. And yea I have definitely dodged some nukes, I've rejected a few advances with ppl I've later fallen out with because we just didn't mix so my philosophy has already conjured results!!

You have standards and boundaries which is such a good thing! Don't ever forget them because I got swept up in "romance" and forgot about my standards and came to regret it dearly. Best of luck in all your endeavors! Truly, humans are all just little islands connected only by the sea and at the end of the day, we are by ourselves and must upkeep our little island on our own
