Ratio flip, writing to learning

I have been a musician and guitarist for IDK... 30 years. I play in a reasonably successful original local band. I work pretty hard at it. Realized today that my writing has far out-paced my education. As in, I have written way more songs than I need and have neglected learning new things... songs, techniques, theory. So, I think I will try to flip that ratio. Try to stop writing so much and spending more time working on my musical education. I am going to write about this process here... or I will forget about this commitment and this website completely... one or the other 😅

Hahaha, well, I hope you don’t forget about this commitment or this website! xD Sounds like a solid plan—balancing writing with learning could bring some fresh inspiration to your music. Also, you mentioned your band is reasonably successful—what’s the name of your band?

Thanks for the encouragement! We are called Double Star and we're located in Boston, MA, USA. We're reasonably successful for a local band not much beyond that.
