Cowboy Bebop (Netflix Live Action)

So, I'm only about 5 episodes into the series, but I have to say I'm not terribly disappointed. I know the show is getting a lot of shit, but that's what happens when anime/cartoons are turned live action- its going to suck for perfectionists and idealists. That's just how it goes. When the 2016 Ghostbuster re-imagining came out, it got so much shit because it didn't emulate the source material well enough. The main difference between Feig's Ghostbusters and Netflix's Cowboy Bebop is that BeepBoop is a live action re-make, not a re-imagining or a reboot (we'll talk about those later).

I haven't met Ed yet, nor did I even realize Ed was in this season. But the casting for Spike (John Cho), Jet (Mustafa Shakir), Faye (Daniella Pineda) and Vicious (Alex Hassell) are awesomely on-point. The sarcastic humor of Spike Spiegel translates well through Cho's delivery, and Mustafa Shakir embodies everything I remember about Jet Black. I'm not familiar with Daniella Pineda's work otherwise, but her performance as Faye Valentine is fantastic.

I strongly recommend giving it a watch, I'll update this once I finish the season.

Oh, and Ein is just as adorable IRL as he is in anime form.
