magic isn't real, god isn't real. even if he was, how can you like someone who sends someone to eternal hell for not believing in them? that's all bs, +religious people are the easiest people to manipulate (proven by the amount of cults that use "god" as a reason for everything)

Yes, it's true, but you don't take into account the fact that it's very difficult to deal with it, and in any case, many people understand this. A religious society (family or sect) is isolated from the outside world, and if a person does not renounce religion himself, then nothing can be done about it.

Eh, sure, magic isnt real and god isn't to some, but they are to others. I think the real harm comes when its about organized religion, and even then I'm talking more about Christianity (as a jew its a different experience since hell isn't a concept that can't be used against you). When religion is used to shape the opinions and expectations of others for political gain, that's when it causes actual harm and so much unnecessary fear. I think if you keep your spirituality and religious practices personal, you don't care about others approval because you are at peace in your own eyes. I also really hate when people wanna force their beliefs on you cuz of some savior complex, I think if religion was meant to find you, it was for you and you alone (especially when its parents forcing it upon children). Its, in my opinion, a strictly personal journey ppl should take when they're older and are genuinely interested in it.

omg this is so real like my ex bf was so religious constantly trying to convert me into a christian and saying he loved me but was scared i would go to hell and eventually i had enough and blocked him and we made up a few months later and we're still friends but even though he apologized and said he's "less christian" he STILL tells me im gunna go to hell and all this bs. i also went to a christian primary school as it is only down the road from me but my family isnt religous at all but theres no way its legal to try convince young children that theyre going to hell if they didnt pray in assemblies ect and i remember being so scared id pray to god begging him to not send me to hell and it wasnt until i was about 8 that i stopped praying in and out of school cuz i realized it was a load of shit to scare us into being good. anywys this wasnt ment to be offensive to relious people belive what you want i respect that just dont push your beliefs onto other people
totally agree, the idea of religion and having it as a symbol is nice; it just becomes a problem when people actually believe in it literally as if their life depends on it.
