OMG I LOVEE YOUR MUSIC TASTE, i got a cd player recently and im mostly listening to my parents cds, like the doors, the waterboys, a lot of U2 and movie soundtracks.

I have the sountrack of trainspotting( my dad loves that movie and the soundtrack is sooo good), pulp fiction and the matrix!! Would love to buy some new cds but the ones in normal stores are so expensive

most of my CD's ive bought from thrift stores or the bookstore near my house but some of the CDS i got for gifts were from amazon. I would try merchbar, depending on the artist you may be able to find cheap CDs
