Morning Sleepiness and Damn Doordash

I woke up at 7am this morning to go pick up my ex from work (keep in mind I NEVER wake up this early or earlier unless I absolutely have to). I get there to find out he's working an hour overtime. It's fine because he's working and not doing random bullshit. I just wait in the car and scroll through tiktok. He finally gets in my car around 9:25am and we head to his home. We had a pretty good conversation about his new job and new schedule. Funny part is that he forgot to put the walkie talkie away and took it with him. After that I went home and fell back asleep. I woke up again around 1:30pm. I thought that me and my old fling were gonna hang out before I had to go to work but he cancelled for another day so I went to work early. It was extremely busy which is a great thing... until part of that business is from out of town. A couple of the nearby towns are fine (except in this bad weather) but Portland is horrible at night. I work nights. I think Portland would be a great city without so much crime. All cities are gonna have some level of crime but Portland is pretty dangerous at night and sometimes even during the day. I have had to unassign or decline so many orders that my acceptance percentage has suffered. As far as tonight as a whole goes, I've had better nights. I have had to call support 4 to 5 times (I lost count because I have to call support at least once every single shift). The first time the customer gave me the wrong address so I call support and the gal on the other end who was suppose to help me was one of the stupidest bitches I've ever come across in customer service. So I lost it and I screamed at her and hung up. The problem didn't get fixed with her so I call again. The next person completely ignored me. The customer had to text me the correct address (I cannot contact the customer until they contact me because doordash gives the dashers faulty numbers that don't even work. I can understand the privacy aspect of things but you can't use a number that doesn't work). That one had an ok ending so no more on that one. I had one grocery delivery and it was one of the most embarrassing deliveries I've ever done. It is so embarrassing that for both my sake and the customer's sake, I'm not gonna say what it was. The phrase of the day was "whyyyyyyyy". The last order I had to call support as usual (there were several support calls that I would rather suppress the memories. It is that frustrating). The person asked so many questions that we already went over that I threw my phone. I swear I need a salt lamp in my car and better anger management skills because something or someone is gonna end up seriously damaged or broken. Surprisingly my phone stayed 100% in tact and it didn't break at all. I swear if there was a doordash building of some sort near where I live I would march my ass right in there and yell and scream because "support" isn't even support at this point. If anyone needs to get frustrated today I've got the number in my phone. That's pretty much all doordash support is good for: irritating people. I'm tired so I'm gonna watch youtube and fall asleep.

Until tomorrow,
Lee Wilke
