Reaffirming info about gatcha games. (The Real Cost Of Video Games #2)

If you aren't into someone talking about how you should play other games instead of the games you play, I recommend moving on to a different blog post. If you decide to stay anyway, I hope to give you good reasons to play other games that I believe are better.

There is this fun video that has reaffirmed that gatchas aren't trying to be good games and are instead brain hacks to take your time and sometimes money. I don't think they got everything right, especially when to comes to these tricks being limited by medium. Besides that, love that we have another video to educate on how dangerous games can be when they lack responsibility.

Transmedia can hook viewers into media that can use these tricks. It is stated in the video that live service games already create films and other media to create new ways to experience the game so I don't know why they later say books and TV can't do what the medium of games is demonstrating. If you wonder what transmedia is, look the term up or read Schell's book where I learned about transmedia.

Oh yah, I'm making this a series. I don't think I will write these that intellectually as my cost model pretty much solved most if not all the problems with game monetization I found so far. All I have to teach so far has been already shared there. You will most likely hear shared media that is better than me at getting people out from terribly priced games.
