To rekindle a friendship one often reaches out and asks, no, begs for forgiveness because it's not easily given.
Friendship is like wood, you burn it, in the process destroying something, destroying apart of yourself breathing in it's fumes.
When it burns, it's gone, or charred, never the same.
After a while you think about that wood you burnt, how much your lungs burnt, how badly it smelled, and then wonder why you ever burnt it to begin with.
The truth is there's no good reason to burn wood in this day and age except for desperation and need, or selfishness, or some other multifaceted reason that I can't forget.
I reconnected with a really old friend today.
It was amazing, like nothing ever happened, like 2019 never left.
It's been a long time since I talked to her.
The one thing I really liked about her is that she cares about people, she's kind, she doesn't hide it, she was always really nice to me and it's why I loved having her as a friend.
She's still kind, and I'm so glad I can talk to her again.
I really do recommend talking to people if you miss them, I was hurting for a long time, I'm still hurting, I'm always going to be hurting, but goddamnit I have my friends back so I don't care.
Stay fruity, my dudes.
