Plant Stuff!

Today i set up my brand new hydroponic system. For me, as a plant nerd and ag major, this is a dream come true. i can't wait to experiment with it! Right now, i am germinating some lettuce, spinach, and dill to grow. i am also going to experiment with peppers and marigolds since i have heard marigolds do an alright job growing at the same pH as lettuce but the peppers is just because i have had some seeds laying around forever and want to use them but when i was setting up i sort of flooded my room lololololol its okay!! 

right now i have the timer set at 1 hr off 5 min pumping if youre curious and maybe can offer me some direction!! 

im also experimenting with some lemon seeds right now i have planted like 15 in different methods so for a couple of them i did tap water and a couple of them i did distilled to see what would do best and then i did the bag method with a paper towel for some and the soil method for some and we're just going to wait a few weeks to see which ones sprout 

then after they sprout im going to experiment with some soil mixes to see which ones help the most and some new fertilizer 

oh yeah! i also made my first kokedama the other day and that was super fun only the green thread i used is not the color of moss so it sort of sticks out like a sore thumb but hopefully with time the moss will overtake the thread and make it so cute!!
