Semester 1 Essay

Being a lowly creature squirming its way through high school, I'm quite proud that I'm taking a DC/ college class. I'm probably going to quit it next semester though since it's been quite hard and my grades never been passing....

But I want to tell you, traveler, about the research paper I wrote as the final grade!!!!

Since it was a research paper, I could choose any topic that is school appropriate and something I'm passionate about so I chose.......

R-rated movies and their effects on youth minds!!!

I genuinely don't think many people talk about this enough. Did you know school shootings and murders happen because the child committing the crime watched an adult rated film and felt inspired by it? Of course, it's not the only reason but it's happened enough times for there to be a link between the two. This saddens me because as someone who loves mature movies myself, I don't want to see the directors work getting dragged through the mud all because some snot-nosed kid got their hands on the material. 

In this day and age, it's very easy for kids to have access to media and look at things they shouldn't. As much as I want to rid America of this burden, I don't know how. For now, all I can do is write more research papers and spread awareness.
