COCKROACHES

They are my favorite type of insect (and animal)...EVER!!!!!

As a self-proclaimed entomologist who studies various insects in their free time, I found that my attraction to roaches grows fonder day by day. 

Many people think of these pesky little critters as such, pests, but I have a deep love for them. They're like an extension of my soul and embodies perfectly me.

Facts about the love of my life:

1. They can live without a head

2. They have tiny holes along their back that allows them to breath without said head

3. There is an estimate of 4,500 different types but only 70 that are in the US

4.  The most common types of roaches you see around your house are:

     German Cockroach, American cockroach, Oriental Cockroach, Brown-banded Cockroach, Smoky       Brown cockroach, and Australian cockroach (my personal favorite).

5. They can survive 6 to 15 times more radiation than we humans can (So cool!!!)

6. Able to hold their breath for 40-30 mins so don't try drowning them (Tear gas them instead!)

7. Can run up to 3 miles per hour

8. They (like I) are nocturnal, so they usually aren't awake during the day

9. American Roaches like the smell of beer. Let that speak for the nation.

10. Their poop can give people asthma

I love roaches maybe more than I LIKE most humans. They're gross little things that I don't want near me when their alive but when they're dead they're so cute!!!!!
