lacetime yuletide, sludge and desolation

the albescence of the morning draws earlier and the dreary streets become embezzled with snow. snow turns to sludge, and it dips deeper into frigid temperatures.

this naturally means only one thing..christmas is soon!

i believe christmas is the season of the lace, which means as winter comes into effect, i always begin to incorporate lace into my outfits. today, as i was cooped indoors all day, i was wearing a 1940s nightgown that is accented with lace and ribbons galore. 

i got this piece from an antique store near me. i asked the cashier, and she verified it was an authentic piece from the 1940s. extremely, extremely beautiful, though it's proportions don't quite fit me nicely... just a problem with being 5'9 in womens fashion ( ˶°ㅁ°) !!

i got to read all day. it's very refreshing to be given breaks, these short interstices of clarity help me not to worry about schoolwork or the busy quarrels of personal life. 

i think grandma fashion is one of my favorite things ever. there's an unmatched beauty in lace and floral accents that can't be replicated by anything else. 

maybe that just means i'll be the best grandma...haha • •˶꒱ა
