the dream
I know im posting a lot but i just joined this and i wanted to have at least 3 on my profile on the first day, plus im bored so im posting some old poems! <3
i wish i had an oven so that i could bake a carrot cake
coffee with sugar a car that doesnt ever break
dessert other than custard something i could bake
a kitchen with a countertop
the rain wont ever ever stop
little engine that could
life before the cars invented
steel magnolias equal sizes
books that only cost a penny
romantic little love
downtown before it became popular
quaint and cobblestone
cream cheese frosting on top
carpet sewn like tapestry
draped across the hardwood floor
just when you think you have enough
the garden growing plenty more
baby sleeping safe and sound
sheep whose eyes glow in the flashlight
a carrot cake and tea a handwritten invite
short grass, little bunnies
all the flies have flown away
sit in peace in this big space and share a piece of carrot cake
the walls are painted green
my pin-cushion full of needles
the bushes do not grow
even pines produce figs
carrot cake and vodka
accidental homemade moonshine
snowy houses and molasses
on a gentle christmas night
the timer truly beeps not just commercial in this sense
everything cooks all the way through
and nothing ever burns
