So I'm sort-of into vulture culture, and have not a big collection, but it's still an interesting collection so I'm going to show you all :3
I'll explain what most of them are too :]
(sorry if the images are sized badly)
Top half of a possum skull. I've cleaned it, but I think I've accidently weakened it because of it, as the cracks in the skull have gotten bigger and a tooth keep falling out.
(I now related the smell of dishwashing liquid with bones. it's not fun.) (I know I should've used proper chemicals, but my mum wouldn't let me because she doesn't like my collecting things like this.)
One of my friends had found it at school and gave it to me.
A young Australian Eastern Water Dragon skull and skin/scales.
I think an owl must eaten it then vomited up the bones and skin (as owls do)
Rat or mouse (probably rat) skull. it's been in the sun for nearly half a year, I believe the UV's weakened it, the top of the skull has kind of shattered, and it's suspiciously light.
Mummified (?) gecko. Legit just found this guy hanging on the side of my house's wall. I love that he's kept his eyes.
Random tooth. I have no idea where I found this, nor what animal it's from. To be completely honest, it could even be one of my dog's teeth.
Massive Dragonfly. I found it during school.
Possum fur. There used to be possums that lived in my house's walls, but now they're just in the roof and floor (2 level house (bottom is the garage))
Bird nest number 1. Found this on the pathway near my high-school.
(I do not just take bird nests out of trees. I find them with out any eggs nor birds nearby)
Bird nest number 2. Technically this is the first bird nest I found (found it in primary school), but I took photos of the other one first. I've added some feathers to it, and the eggs too.
(Again, I don't steal eggs nor nests from trees. I find them on the ground)
Common Crow butterfly. I found it walking to school with ants all over it.
Common Christmas Beetle. I've found a few before at my school, but this one I found at a dam near my city.
Evening Brown Butterfly. I had a hard time identifying this one because the markings are pretty small. I've found a live one at my school with a friend before too.
Finally onto the feathers now. I have a ton of them, mainly because my backyard is pretty forest-y and birds like it.
These feathers are mainly Rainbow Lorikeet feathers, but the three pink ones are from Galahs I believe. The feathers that look grey/black actually have blue on them, it's just that the colour didn't come through too well.
These are the biggest feathers I have, two are more than 30 centimetres. Most are from crows or ravens, the white ones are likely from Ibis, and the striped one is likely from a kookaburra or owl
I'm not sure which bird the two green feathers are from. The rest are likely from crows, ravens, magpies, or magpie-larks, the normal black and white birds.
A set of butterfly wings. I'm yet to identify what butterfly.
A bunch of snail shells. This isn't actually my whole collection, but they're all scattered around my room so I'm not sure where the rest are. Here's a few stories I have about snails -> HERE (link to another blog post)
Ladybugs! :3
When I was in maybe prep to grade three, I loved ladybugs so much that if I found one I would put it in a container to try to keep it as a pet. They always ended up dying because I didn't have any holes in the container, so this is how I've ended up with so many ladybugs.
I'm yet to identify these ones, they looks just like normal ladybugs
A few Yellow Shouldered ladybugs, they're quite cute and small.
My personal favourite ladybug, the Steelblue Ladybug. It's a bad photo of them though, so i would suggest searching up a Steelblue ladybug, as they are rather beautiful.

hell YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love vulture culture, i just gotta remember to.. store the bones i find (i find them, clean em up, and then promptly loose them LOL)
ah yess, i 'store' all of mine on a bookshelf in my room, it's probably not too hygienic considering you can't really clean bird nests so i'm just living with those germs in my room... anywhooos....
thanks for reminding me about this blog btw, because i want to add a few things to it but never remember :3
