I never fully realize how embarrassingly socially inept I am until I'm put in an unexpected social situation. Surprise visitors are like head-on collisions when I'm going a million miles an hour in my own thoughts -- deadly! brutal! and so on. Maybe I'll sign off of everything and read something. Or watch something. I've been wanting to rewatch Metropolis as of late. I don't know. I just need to recharge in some way that is uniquely my own, by me and for me and me alone.
