Are our friends really our friends?

No, I'm NOT talking about Spacehey friends, as much as I like my friends and being able to have such cool people following my page, I mean friends, people you converse to daily.

It's such a simple, easy question to ask, isn't it? The answer would normally be "Well, of course! They're called 'friends' after all, so why wouldn't they be?" but I concur, I think the concept of a friend is too broad for a definite answer.

On paper: sure, friends are called friends for a reason; a person you know well and spend a lot of time with, but..that doesn't mean anything.

Maybe I have trust issues, call me insane if you want, but friends don't MEAN anything in the grand scheme of things, you can lose a friend just as easily as you could make one, differences in morals, opinions, mental health: all of that factors into our interpersonal relationships, which just means that friends don't matter, even if you knew this person for a LONG time, you could lose them the next day just because you said you didn't like a lady gaga album.

I feel like I'm repeating myself; my point is that your friends, whether it be a girl named Emily or a guy named Behati, they're not actually FRIENDS, just people you knew for a while, or that guy at school you saw every day and then never again after you graduated.

It means nothing, all that time, wasted.

It's really an awful thing to go through, what was the friggen' point of learning to like someone if they're just gone the next day because they're too pussy to apologize? What was the fucking point of ANYTHING?
