is girl code really just common respect?

First four rules of girl code

1.) Don't go after your friends' ex or crush

2.) Keep secrets secret

3.) Not everything is a competition

4.) Post pics you BOTH/ALL look good in

Me, personally, I feel as though all of these are common decency type shit- not even 'girl code'. Just like if you want friends, you do these things..it's literally just respect. If you respect your friend, in any form of the word; you're not gonna go and post a pic u look good in, but they don't. And you're def not going to spill the secrets they told you in confidence. Nor are you going to make a competition out of evrything in yalls relationship, and I feel like most obviously- YOU'RE NOT GOING TO START CHATTING W THEIR INSANE EX-SITUATIONSHIP??

Now obvi I'm talking abt my own dilemma, but really, be so serious- who tf goes for an ex of their friend that they know evrything abt?? I'm rlly js a lil bamboozled that you chose that one, out of all of them. I mean at least choose one you don't have to worry abt kidnapping you whn things go sideways. Like girl.. YOU KNOW??? I ended up officially bailing a few days aftr he asked me for 'at least another week, just one more chance' when I first tried to end things. AND THE REASON we didn't evn make it a week was cuz mf decided it was a smart idea to ask me to hoco in front of all of his lil friends. Not even five days after I tried leaving his ass. It js felt conniving, like he was trying to trap me?

Anywaysss, so he started tweaking out after I ended our 'talking stage' shit (that consisted of a month- we'd known each other a MONTH). So came the spam calls, msgs (evn days aftr everything was done w- paragraphs on top of paragraphs of stupidity), and leaving voicemails abt how I js used him for entertainment/to buy me things. To clarify, I hadn't asked this boy for SHIT, I didn't need to- not money or food or whtvr. But he went on abt it being his love language and I was like aight, do yo shit ig. Not to mention I was gonna venmo him the $ he spent on me anyway too cuz I felt bad

AND NOW, it ain't evn the end yall pls 😭, he n my friend that INITIALLY messaged him tryna defend me n shit- are talking. Flirting more like it. Planning on meeting up at the hoco I was gon bring her (the friend) to.
