High Schooler's Take on the Definition of Art

As part of my philosophy subject I have been looking at art and the different theories like Intentionalism, which try to give a fool-proof definition of art. However, my class have also gone over the critiques with these theories, so now we have arrived at the stage of developing our own ideas. I thought I'd share the criteria I've made which attempts to define art. I have taken some ideas from other theories and patched them together with my own ideas. If you are reading this, I'd love to hear your opinion too.

1. Must be intentionally created and affected.
2. Must be created by a human being.
3. Cannot be a forgery.
4. Must intend to express a thought, feeling, emotion or idea.
5. Artist must utilize specific artistic technique/s with medium/s to create a specific look.

Additionally: Good art successfully achieves what it is intended to emulate (realism, surrealism etc. ) when majority of other artists agree that it has done so.

Artist: A person who studies and practices artistic techniques and creates art either as a hobby or as a job.
