Did Something New

So I used to be annoyed with this certain artistic "quirk" I had. Whenever I tried to hyperfocus on an idea that I put on a pedestal of something I really wanted to draw, I always ended up drawing eyes in the corner somewhere, and all my energy unintentionally went into them. It used to annoy me how I could draw them so effortlessly and be unable to start and/or finish anything else that I REALLY wanted to do.

Eyes were always the easiest thing for me to draw. If I'm testing a new style? Eye. New rendering method? Eye. New brushes/supplies? Eye. Eyes everywhere.

Today I decided to start the body off with the eye instead the standard messy circle most artists do, including myself ofc. (I saw somewhere that it is recommended to start off at the feet when drawing a body, which I truthfully couldn't bring myself to do.) Anyways, so I started off with the eyes, and I did this for several different characters. It was honestly pretty fun, I enjoyed it, and came out with some pretty neato drawings that I'm proud of. I still need to color them, but the fact that I drew so much like I used to in middle school makes me happy honestly.
