Sins of The Flesh

To be human is to be dirty,
A simple fact of life,
The dirt is unavoidable,
And it clings to your skin.

But I don't want to be human,聽I gasp,
If this body is a gift I relinquish it,
A god given gift it may be
I do not accept it.

I will find something better, I decree,
Something that will not rust, nor wilt, nor decay,
Something clean and pristine that I can wear
And not feel disgusted.

The human body is something sick,
Fleshy bodies with little hair,
Heads too big for their own good,
Which is why I am not one of them.

In the end I am left with nothing,
An empty body with no features or name,
I am left as a spectre amongst the living,
And I love it.

Warm Bodies

To be human is such a gift,
Separated from monkeys by only a pen,
To be so close to an animal but think yourself God,
A delightful delusion.

But I do not come to free you from this,
I admire your beautiful ignorant stupidity,
For it is the mark of a true disregard for nature,
That of which I adore.

Your skin, pink and fleshy with little hair,
So weak, yet you deem it unbreakable,
Never swayed by your brushes with death,
I have fallen in love with your blindness.

The human experience, a gift from God himself,
Granted to those of you at random,
Yet still you beg for it to end,
Though your existence is fleeting.

Such an odd and contradictory thing you are,
So puny, yet so destructive,
Like a speck of dust that causes your sicknesses,
I blow you away.
