morning

today was the first time in a while that i have gone outside before sunrise and just reminded me of why i continue - the sun ever so slightly peeked over the mountains on the east and on the west, the moon was full and i could see all its imperfections. my neighbors’ lights were still on - there wasnt enough light for the sensors to register to turn them off. it was silent for the most part, the most prominent sound being the crackling of my footsteps & there was the soft humming of the nearby freeway.
