Video game music absolutely rules. I feel when we talk about music, we don't talk about video game music enough. Some of the music in video games is just genuinely good music on it's own and in some cases it's better than mainstream music. I think the best example of this is Elena Siegman's work for COD Zombies. Those are songs that I would listen to in general and add to my playlist. Akira Yamaoka's work for Silent Hill especially You're Not Here, Tender Sugar, Waiting For You, and One More Soul To The Call are great songs in their own right. The OST for the DOOM reboot games is also immaculate and Mick Gordon did such a good job with those songs. Even the OST for the original DOOM games are really good. Saudade and Looming Dread from Resident Evil 2 Remake are also amazing. There are genuinely just so many examples of good pieces of video game music that I could bring up. Video game music in general is mostly awesome. I think the only bad piece of video game music I can think of is the Mansion Basement Theme for the DualShock version of Resident Evil: Director's Cut. It does kinda try to set up the atmosphere at first but then very quickly just devolves into whatever it's supposed to be.

Video game music is so good
