how does one job???

So I applied to work at my little town dollar store, and the girl I asked if they were hiring said to send in application and then call a while later and ask for Marlow, that was about 3 weeks ago, which I had to wait a week later to finally be able to do the application sense my laptop had broken, I sent in the application and its been a little over a week later, google says wait 1 to 2 weeks before calling in about an application but I'm not the smartest so I'm really not to sure what to say once I call, do I ask to schedule an interview? and if so how do I even go threw with that?

please guys I really need help with this 😭
