new mp3 player!!!!! but it's in japanese so it's really annoying to use-

so. i've done a really stupid thing.

i hate listening to music on my phone because if you're not paying for whatever service you're using you're gonna be forced to listen to usually unskippable ads after every 2 FUCKING SONGS. i hate it. and ever since i bought a cd player i wanted an mp3 player too. so several months ago idk i think it was back in may i bought an mp3 player specifically for fnf music because i'm that insane about fnf. but then i was like well now i need a mp3 player for all the normal people shit i listen to. 

and just a few days ago i did exactly that.

so when i was going abouts lookin for this thing, i was lookin for an 8gb sony walkman because A) i thought 8gbs was the highest it went and 2) my first mp3 player was a sony walkman so i just wanted to get another one of those. that was the original plan. until i found out that 8 was NOT the highest it went. there were ones with 16gb!!!! there was also some 32gb ones but they were fucking ugly. there was just one problem. well 2 but the second thing wasn't really a big deal i'm just picky; the fact that the interface is japanese ONLY. now, me, being the bumbling buffoon that i am, thought that i would be able to change the language when i got it. it's funny, because i'm pretty sure the ebay listing literally said the interface was Japanese only lmao. but i am stupid. the second thing was that it was pink and owning pink things makes me feel GAY but anyways i bought it lol.

and unsurprisingly when it got here it was all in japanese and when i went to the settings to find the language thingy it was not there. so what i do to figure out what it says is i take a picture of the screen and translate it with google lens. it is. v e r y. annoying. but oh well. i have no regerts. this shit's got 16gb. i can hopefully fit like a million songs on here. technically it's only got like 13 somethin. well had. i kinda already used a few gigs LOL. 

the process of putting songs, specifically albums, is both really fun and really FUCKING draining. i'm the type of person that doesn't know how to stop doing things when i start, so i've just been sitting. at my desk. painstakingly finding information about the albums so i can fill out the "genre" "release" yk those sorts of things. and i'll just do it for hours until i feel my eyes sinking into my skull and i literally HAVE to lay down. sometimes its easy like when i get shit from bandcamp and it's already organized and everything's filled out. but when i get shit from like SOUNDCLOUD or some shit then i gotta organize it all myself. it is. not great. especially if it's a long album. but it's also kinda fun? i dunno. my favorite part is adding the pictures. but they don't always work for some reason. some of my favorite albums on here have no pictures because it didn't work for them :(((((((

i would really like to get one more; a blue one. unfortunately i don't know when i'll be able to get that one :(
