Yes, kinkshaming IS wrong.
No, it's not ok to judge and make someone feel ashamed just bc it's something that u don't like or find "nasty".
Why? People already have their own problems. Let's not create even more negativity and discrimination.... apparently, society likes to make fun of people for things that they can't really control.
Who cares if someone likes to be pissed on? Who cares if someone has a fetish for used underwears? Who cares if someone likes to rub against a tree or something for sexual pleasure, really? Why is It your problem that people like what you don't like?
"But it's so disgusting to me!" and? i mean, you can find it disgusting, but what if it doesnt harm anybody and it's consensual, between two adults?
Foot fetishes are so demonized too, for some reason. Like ok, i don't find feets sexy either, but it's not as "strange" as people make it look. It's a normal part of ur body??? It's not even that unusual.
I'll let you know something: kinks are NATURAL, and they are not just weird obsessions or things you can shame because you "don't have them". Because guess what? EVERYONE has a kink. Yes, exactly. An example? Look at the Venus of Willendorf. Why is she so fat, and why are her breasts and hips HUGE while she basically doesnt even have a face? Conceptually, people once linked big breasts and fertility, and the more curvy and fat a woman was, the more she was an interesting option for reproduction, cuz there was this symbolic idea of: big chest = lots of milk for lots of babies. So they would create these statues and bury them underground as a rite for getting more and more kids and keep the species alive. So yes, being very very chubby was something considered attractive for women, and yes, it was a fetish born mostly from biology. The Venus doesn't have a face, cuz faces were not important, they wanted the focus on the body cuz it was sexier.

I totally agree. As long as there is consent between participants and the act is safe, there is no reason to shame people for what they like. It's a private thing for a reason. This can somewhat be compared to food preferences. Just because you don't like tomatoes doesn't mean liking them is bad. It's really not that deep. People should learn to be less judgmental and practice more self reflection.
Omg yeah! I've seen TONS of whispers (i mean from Pinterest) from kinkshamers thinking it's fun to judge others for sexual preferences, and literally no one said anything against that. i'm a non-kinky person but i still find that very very bad :/ it's sad to see it's very much more accepted then other forms of discrimination.

Yes. But it can depend on how u do that. If those forums are specifically for sex and kinks then yes, also, things like puppy play can bè "done" in public just by wearing a normal chocker, which looks like a collar, so that it's not explicit, it doesnt make anyone uncomfortable and the only person knowing is the kinky person themself and their partner.

unfortunately some of these kinks are just gonna garner that kind of attention. You can't expect people not to gawk at piss kinks or laugh at latex, so on and so forth. You either keep it locked down or stand proud of it anyways. There's really not much that can be done when the average human is only supposed to be into vanilla and butt or whatever they do these days.

No, because, again, just bc u find that disgusting and the majority also does, it doesnt mean we should insult others for something they personally like and can't even control. And kinks in public? They are fine if they are not explicit. For example, if someone likes puppy-play, they would wear a chocker who is just similar to a collar, so they will be the only one to know.
This is my opinion, ik it can be "hard" to get for many, cuz our society is more willing to accept only some sexual tastes. :)

My special interest is phycology, more specifically with kinks and yes, a big factor is biology.
Something I like to say as a joke to myself that people with foot fetishes are mentally ill cause their brains are literally wired differently.(I haven't had much sleep so google this yourself but) It has something to do with a the genital and feet areas in the somatosensory cortex being so close together they touch/join. (feet are a turn off for me but I am not gonna sit here and shame someone for liking them)
A lot of the time kinks and fetishes come from trauma so some use it as a way to heal. Its why I believe after care is a must, doent matter if its vanilla or not.

Exactly! i never knew about the link between how someone's brain works and feet fetish lol. But that's quite interesting. And yes, some kinks being the consequence of trauma is another reason not to kinkshame :)

Thank You! I really think this is just kids who grew up with early 2000's conservative parents and aren't aware of how much they have internalized. I have also seen lots of the other traits of purity culture leaking out into the world thru very very young people lately.
Yes! 100%! idk why they would judge them for things they can't even control... we need to talk about kink shaming more, cuz sex is a vurnerable topic for everyone. Society needs to be more "fetish friendly" tbh.
