sigh i have to spend a billion dollars

so shadow the hedgehog is one of my big big comfort characters. and this year is sega's Year of Shadow.

that's fine. more shadow merch is great for me, especially since i collect figures and toys and stuff of him. im excited for the movie in december (wasnt expecting keanu reeves to voice him, but im not complaining too much. it should be cute). 

the issue... is with sonic x shadow generations......

i already mentioned how i collect shadow merch. i thought i knew what i was gonna do for this game, buy the deluxe preorder and enjoy my digital artbook and terios skin. until they announced the limited collector's edition preorder.

this sucker comes with a physical artbook, reversable sleeve, cute box, keychains, ost on cd, chao figurines, steelbook, AND a cute little figure of shadow and sonic standing together on a dreamcast. 

BUT. it doesnt come with the terios skin. 

i dont know why they dont include the stuff from the deluxe edition, since the collector's edition is like $250 (WHY WOULDNT YOU INCLUDE A SKIN??). but i need terios. he's one of shadow's beta designs, and i cannot express how much i care about terios. he's my baby, my son, my everything. i have to have terios. so ideally i'll be buying the $250 collector's edition of the game, AND the deluxe preorder.

BUUUT there's ALSO a figure ONLY AVAILABLE with preorders of the game in different regions (specifically japan). it's a bust of shadow. oh shit. i need it. 

so either i'll be spending the money for two copies of the game and prowling around japanese sites for someone selling their shadow bust, OR i'll have to order the game in japanese too. three copies of the same game. 

the best part is.. i dont have anything to play it on. im not buying it for the switch. i have a lite and i refuse to taint shadow's glory by forcing him onto a screen like that. i used to have a ps4, but dont anymore, and cant afford a ps5. im not even going to be able to play the fucking game until i buy an entirely new system to play it on, and by then ill definitely already be spoiled for most of it. 

sega... thank you. im so happy youre dedicating a year to your best character of all time. but also fuck you. im buying possibly three copies of one game, which i cant even play. how could you do this to me. i love you. please please please go bankrupt and liquidate everything.
