I remember not very long ago at all, even after unleaded fuel ran up from $2.50 to $4.00 post lockdown, you'd see diesel maybe $2 more expensive than unleaded.
This week they were the same price. I almost threw up. Not because that's a gross thing, or it's crazy expensive now, still like $3.50. I've just never seen such a thing, and it's like...coming to terms with a mandela effect and then seeing the thing you thought you knew wasn't spelled like that actually being spelled like that somewhere. Idk if that makes any sense at all.
Anyway, happy Tuesday. Try not to trip over nothing today <3

I don't really see the mandela affect allegory myself (bc The mandela effect is a well proven myth and based off perception, much like how //feeling// deja vu doesn't mean something //actually// happened twice) But I still think I understand what you are saying!
It just feels like it should be impossible, right? Like an absurdist joke some outside force is playing on us? Most of post lockdown life has felt like that to me.
But I take solace in stuff like, imagine how our great grandparents all over the world felt during both of the great wars? That must have just sounded impossible, world ending, hope sucking, ect. and yet we made it!!
