Love, a profound feeling
Words can't define.
Was I ever in love?
Yes—
It was the best feeling,
It brought life to my dull world.
She was sweet, like a bottle of whiskey,
Dangerous, like a dagger,
She held my heart in her hands—
Of course, she was dangerous.
She made me laugh;
I made her laugh too.
She made me happy;
I made her happy too.
She was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen,
And to think—
I got to love someone like her.
I loved her deeply, she was adorable.
I loved her laugh, and I still do.
She thinks she speaks too much,
But her words are an orchestra to my ears.
Everything about her was perfect—
Sure, we had a few arguments,
But we always resolved them.
We were young but mature,
Yet love sometimes doesn’t work in our favor.
We loved each other,
But it just wasn't our time.
She gave back my heart—
Fully intact,
With nothing but the scratch of our separation.
