mistreatment

i was reading an article, i can’t exactly remember what for but the author claims that autistic individuals are linked to violent behavior. i’ve contemplated why that is.. ultimately i found a connection. autistic people are a demographic that are very oppressed in our society and get treated as less. when you treat people so horribly they’re bound to lash out. this can really apply to anyone, autistic or not. the problem isn’t that they’re “this or that”, that is not the cause for violent behavior. the cause is the constant mistreatment and abuse. you blame every source but yourself. so in the context of my original statement, people aren’t inherently violent because they’re autistic. they’re violent because they’ve been abused by your society.

we fail everyone around us. while violent acts are complex and have a large range of reasons why they’re committed, they can be stopped. im not going to beat a dead horse by discussing this topic when ive exhausted it in my last entry, but our society is a disease. we mistreat people and are surprised when they lash out. don’t ask “who’s we” because we are the summation of the previous generations that failed to improve. your community is the reason why so many kids didn’t have the opportunity to grow up. our systems failure is the reason why 14 KIDS didn’t have the chance to grow up and graduate high school on february 14, 2018. 

i don’t condone, but i understand.
