SO I MOVED FROM THE COUNTRY TO THE CITY IN 2017 and things have been different.. PART 1

Everything I knew was basically was in the country. Growing up I had lived in the middle of no where for quite sometime. Now, looking back I think one of the main big reasons for moving in 2017 was to maybe see something else that was basically not in the middle of nowhere.

Living in the middle of nowhere was tough. Having to drive 15 maybe 20 minutes to another town just to get simple things. It got out of hand as living out there after awhile was a chore. But looking back at times I sure do miss it. The simple times. Having the option to totally be away from everyone. Everything. It was quite peaceful..at the time I did really like the fact I could go into the city when I wanted some city lights and action then I sure would go. Only sometimes I would want to go into the city but after awhile of living out there it was getting hard to get simple things. Basically do anything was a task because everything was far away.

And the nearest towns that offered things were high prices for things like food. Over priced. So to go to the "bigger city" it was about a 40-45 minute drive at most. It was worth it because everything you needed was not a chore to find either. You get what you need and not have the struggle of trying to get certain things in a small town can be a task and a half but in a bigger city not so much.

So in 2017, I figured change of pace would be nice considering my Dad told me he wanted to leave as well and agreed after awhile that things are hard to do or even get too. It was becoming expensive living in the country. So my Dad agreed and figured leaving would be the best option plus our house at the time my father was just running himself crazy on that house. The monthly bills for the house was another reason why he wanted to move as well. It was costly, taxes, hydro and anything goes wrong you either got to go without until its fixed and then when you do get around to it (plumbing maybe) and you would have to pay extreme prices because it would be costly to fix. I remember looking back as well, so many things would go wrong with the house in time and we would fix and patch up better than the last time. But that with the bills and just trying to get basic things everyday was a huge struggle. Remember it took about 20 minutes just to get the town next to us where everything was over priced.

So selling the house was a nightmare, lets talk about that before I get into moving into the city. And city its not really a city but just big enough you could say it. When I think of city's I think of Toronto or bigger areas like that.

The real estate agent was working with well I will be honest not much lol! He really lived up to this motto "I can sell anything". Our house was no easy go for him in my opinion. All of this really is just an opinion. But the first time he sold the house, what do you mean first time?

One day he called up "Great news! It's sold!! You gotta move soon!". After a couple months of nothing and we had one showing and it was the one that sold it. So we got excited naturally. But that would come to stop pretty f-ing quick.

I wanna say two weeks later the real estate agent calls us "So bad news, the person that bought your house got in a car accident and cant move or do nothing. The situation is serious with him and he cant even move. So he has to back out"

My heart went out the guy really, he was looking to start over by buying our house and then boom he gets in a car accident.

A big let down sure. But we kind of lost hope after that. And it only got worst. Oh boy oh boy hear me out......

Months go by I wanna say looking back probably 3 months we get showings people are looking at it over and over and over. Then we get another call "IT IS SOLD! Hopefully this time it sticks" he said.

Hopefully.

The second pair of buyers went to take a look at the house and had children and figured this would be a good cozy home and were stoked to move in.

They had came over even after the realtor showed it to them just to check up on it.

A couple days later the real estate agent man calls back again "So some bad news..." (I know what your thinking YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME...keep reading) the people that were buying the house are now getting a divorce"

I cant make this ishh up even if I wanted too.

Bad luck or bad luck??

They even signed away and we were getting close to getting the check for the house because it was officially sold. iiiiiiiii

What more could go wrong? Another warning, lol it does only get worst. Yes, how?

Alright, so after TWICE of it being sold on the dotted line. Then another 2 months go by....and at this point we gave up home with all this HUGE let downs. Those are pretty big let downs, we packed everything. Twice to unpack. It got to a point where we would just unpacked a lot of our stuff and keeping the more pain in a things in the storage for when we are ready to go.

It got to a point I thought what is the sense of packing. Sold twice. Each buyer backs out. Losing hope was coming at its finest and at a quick rate and considering all the things we were dealing with selling the house was the one thing that kept us both going and then after awhile that couldn't even keep us motivated anymore.

This house has bad luck or maybe we do? My Dad always says "Maybe a ghost was doing everything in its power to keep us stay" just as a silly joke really but kind of serious.

Everything at that time felt like a joke so we always tried to keep busy and Dad would think of new ways to improve the house with the lawn and or maintain the house inside. Try to you know....spice things up for the house. Try to SELL IT.

Maybe that saying third times the charm?

So adding a bit more flair if you will to the house to get it sold thinking this should do it, this will be the trick and keyyyyy to getting it sold!!!!

With a couple weeks work on the lawn and in the inside. A new coat of paint and top to bottom cleaning. Making the place look more bare inside to give any buyers an real view of what it would look if they were to put their crap in it lol

Third time we really went out to make sure we could sell it. Making sure every detail looked polished up and fixed what needed to be fixed like certain things in the house. Dressing it up as they would say.

The real estate guy said I can sell anything.....Hey I am giving him some brownie points because he did manage to sell something I would say more harder to sell and did twice.

So, would the third time be the charm as they would say?

Maybe 2 weeks go by, the real estate agent himself was getting a little frustrated and even said "I usually can sell anything and how odd to sell this twice and all these odd circumstances happen."

It was true. The people in the past did want to buy it and were very serious and even signing the dotted line BUT they have up to 30 days to change their minds or if something happens in between. And sure enough that 'something happening in between' happened twice.

At this point it felt like we were just about to give up. I think we did to some degree. Not really expecting much from two big huge let downs. Under the impression twice it is sold. Packing boxes. Getting ready. Just to be let down two times in a row. That was a lot for us at the time as we were more than eager to sell it and move on to something else. Whatever that something else may be.

Are you still reading? LOL!

Well, the first times yes was a huge let down. Boxes ready to go and everything. Would the third time be it?

Alright, there is a lot of course in this, this is just the story of trying to sell it. The years leading up to us were not kind before hand....

This time, the third time has got to be it!

TO BE CONTINUED .....
