FACTS ABOUT MCR MEMBERS

In my last My Chemical Romance blog (this one, click on it to view the blog) I mentioned that I will make a blog that focuses more on the members, here it is!! In this blog I'll try to talk about the band members, probably be about gerard and mikey because I know alot about them but let's go!!

Before Gerard became a singer he was actually an intern at Cartoon Network and before that (when he was a teenager) he used to write/make comic books and debating how they're not only for kids and that comic books could be for adults too.

So as I mentioned before, they started in 2001 and released their first album in 2002. In that time between Frank Iero joined because he was their first fan. Mikey Way said he used to play with this person called Pencey Prep and then became friends with Gerard Way and Gerard left him hear the demos, then he became a fan. After Pencey Prep split up he joined My Chemical Romance a few days before they started recording their songs.

So that's a fact.

Do you know the song ''Helena''? That song was about Mikey and Gerard's grandmother and how her death was such a big tragic for them. She used to help them alot, like i read somewhere that she used to take them to music lessons and bought Gerard his first painting set (not so sure if it's true but I think it is), she basically helped them a lot with their lives today.

The other thing is that the drummer of MCR at that time was different, it was a guy called Matt Pelissier. He left after the release of Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge in 2004. People say he didn't like playing so he just left, i don't know if that's true though. Matt got replaced with another drummer called Bob Bryar, and as I said before he was very problematic. He was going to spread the band's secrets and he was racist too. There's some other reasons why he got kicked out and why people hate him. He left after the Black Parade era in 2010. They then got Jarrod Alexander but he doesn't appear alot.

After the break up of My Chemical Romance all the members (except for Ray) made a side project and even before the split up, Frank Iero created a band called Leathermouth, which unfortunately only has one album. He released another album (not Leathermouth) in 2014. He has actually been in many bands. American Nightmare, Leathermouth, L.S Dunes, Pencey Prep, Reggie and the full effect, Death Spells and of course My Chemical Romance. Mikey was in a band called Electric Century. And Gerard made his own solo songs and he collaborated with many artists too. He also started writing comic books and one of them, The Umbrella Academy, was made into a TV show. He did some soundtracks for it with Ray Toro.

All the members are all married too. Like, Gerard Way married Lyn-z (Lindsay Way) from Mindless Self Indulgence...well she's the most famous one because she was a bassist.
