Idk, these kinds of things seems childish.. especially the way a lot of them are worded. It seems like a big shiny billboard that says "If you don't agree with me on literally everything, f--- you." as if people who have different opinions are the devil or something. Just choose who you don't want to interact with and move on. We have block buttons and request denial for a reason.
What's up with DNI blog posts?

DNIs do seem very...eehhhh...With the way people write them. It feel both necessary and also unnecessary.
It gives people a target but how often does that really happen? If you're the kind of person who scoffs and scrolls past upon seeing a DNI, you're probably the kind of person they wanted to avoid anyways. It's not a bad thing though! Everyone's different and it would save you both the headache in the end.
A lot of kids in general seem to like DNIs versus us older ones who are just used to walking right into the storm. The internet is very different for them whether we like it or not. They're kind to just used to having warnings plastered before everything. It's kind of nice in a way. Would have saved me a lot of trouble. But that's just how it is.

Perhaps it's just the way kids write things that make DNIs seem so silly. I still think they are redundant since one can always ignore/block, but maybe if an older head wrote one I'd get it more.
A new thought has come to my mind since, it seems a lot of these DNI posters are just vehemently opposed to any sort of foreign ideas to the point that they "strike first" against them - for a lack of a better term.

I didn't even read all the way through your reply before I replied... woops.
The warnings part checks out, but I still don't find it the best thing ever. I think these kids should be in a separate, safe environment on the internet so that way the information freedom (at least what's left of it) of the internet can be preserved. for adults. Adults should be able to read whatever and not have it overly affect them to the point they need a warning.

i swear the top blogs about “DNI” and “WATCH OUT!!!” posts are all basic internet safety things, i feel like those are all written by 13 year olds cuz then you click on it and its a whole story time about some person trying to get a picture and im just like- bro just block the person and you shouldn't have told them your a minor and gave them your email…

It’s really not that deep, its serves its purpose and so does the block button. Users just don’t want any interactions with them at all.

I feel like DNI list are pretty counterintuitive. Like if you "DNI transphobes" for example, congratulations, you just gave said people more a reason to interact with you because they don't care what you think. Like you said, you're better off blocking and ignoring.

Like do people actually think transphobes are gonna read that and think "Oh shit pack it up guys, their profile says DNI transphobes"?

I mean my opinions are like don't be racist or homophobic if that kind of stuff is such a issue for you and your so personally offended by it that says more about you

To assume I am anything on your DNI list because I do not like DNI lists is a giant leap.
I just think the concept of DNIs are stupid, not what people oppose in them.

I suppose a lot of them are children who dont understand that people will interact regardless lmao, especially when its shit like 'dni [insert netculture thing here] fans'.
Theres also the issue with generalising whole groups of people and judging people before you've even met but thats another whole thing.
Have your DNI list if you want, but dont expect it to be plot armour against hellspawn crackheads online.

Oh I definitely am probably on a lot of them, I have some relatively unpopular opinions. Those are for later blog posts though, I don't want to seem like I'm just a ragebaiter by posting controversial stuff less than a day after I made my account lol

ur probably a red flag lol

I'm used to it. The tolerant and the "tolerant" are two very different groups of people; and I prefer the former, so it's no skin off my back
