Am I the only one who just wants Call of Duty games to do it like CoD 2 did? I want the campaigns to be more focused on the average soldier in a theater of war. I think it would make CoD campaigns stick out from other FPS campaigns again, too.
Call of Duty 2's style of campaign should be brought back

I'd really love to see CoD go back to it's roots, call of duty 2 was great! With a few gameplay/storytelling improvements it could easily be the best game in the series.
I personally prefer black ops 1 or modern warfare 1-3, story was absolute kino
Black Ops 1's story is pretty good, I'll give it that. Haven't played MW2 or 3 *completely* so I can't exactly give an opinion on story. I do know that all these games have this hollywood feel which is what I'm not wanting. Less bombastic spectacle, more grounded combat scenarios is what I'm after.
CoD 4 does this well, too, now that I think about it. That game isn't too over-the-top. World at War, too.

Very fair, world at war is veeery good, still cod 4, mw2 and MW3 (old ones ofc, new ones suck imo) are my favs so I'm biased

Oh yeah the new MW series blows, at least in terms in Multiplayer. Can't say much about those campaigns though. I've played a little bit of MW19's and MWIII's but that's it
