thoughts on people finding relationships

recently, i've had a conversation with a friend that stuck in my mind. 

why is finding a relationship these days so unromantic? why must we find relationships through random adding people on snapchat and hoping they're attractive to us? and stopping once you find out how they look? isn't that so... fake?

what happened to meeting people naturally? starting a conversation with the intent of making a friend or finding someone with the same interest as you? then seeing what it would lead to? 

maybe its because i haven't been on the dating scene in a while haha, guess i can't really comment much on it :-T
