Before I say anything I'm only on episode 7, and I really enjoy the show. Nothing I say is meant to be anything but criticism.
A common theme I see throughout the episodes are these adults ignoring the issue at hand. Like Sydney pressing Carmen about the dish, she made in episode 6. He tried explaining that now wasn't the right time and yet she kept pressing him as if they weren't about to open. Another time of this happening when Marcus worked on the donuts (which did taste great) instead of doing the cakes like they asked 100 times during a very stressful issue. Carmen getting angry at Marcus in my opinion was totally warranted too because no way at yalls grown age going to come up and say "try my donuts" while we have over 100 orders that need to get out in minutes tops.
It feels like lazy writing... Like they couldn't figure out how to naturally progress the chaos in the kitchen, so they make these adults act like toddlers. It just bothers me, especially cause Carmen seems to be the only one to get it and everyone's rooting against him.
To be fair though since this is in Carmens POV where he's dealing with his anxieties or "The Bear" this could be how it felt for Carmen working in that state. Which then I can't really say it's lazy writing but that's more so a theory rather than a fact.
Anywho- I shall continue to watch the show and maybe periodically write about it as I do so.
