YESS!!!
some lil additional stuffs:
-explore campus! if you like walking/walk to calm down you can learn about random things on campus, like events, places w the best vending machines, a nice spot, maybe something the college offered but you didn't know about!
-If in the USA, check out Trio/student services! idk if other places have it but the US does, it's something that is meant to help people! Ik they accept disabilities, being poor, first gen college student, and immigration/child of immigrants! They help look for financial aid, help with mental health, actual health (like guiding u in the direction!), they can help look for jobs, and even set up your classes and help transfer (if that's your thing!)
-use the resources in the library!!! the library has so much more than books and printers (u don't need to pay for printing if ur in trio in the US)!! My college has the "fablab" as they call it. It has a sewing and embroidery machines, a podcast studio, 3d printers, lazer cutter, i think even sticker and button maker, and so much more. AND THEY TEACH U HOW TO USE THE STUFF!!! my college has it to where you pay to replace the materials, if applicable. Like the lazer cutter, if you have your own stuff u don't pay. its 1$ for a foot of vinyl if u don't bring it, the button maker is like .20 cents to get more metal bits n plastic stuff, and there's events w free food to promote it
-check out events!! there can be different events going on that might have free food. like my community college had a transfer fare where u could see different colleges in the area and i went because they had pizza. my friend won a raffle there! sometimes the events are just fun! like there was a little festival for the graduates but anyone could go, there was tie dye! and balloon animals!!!!! it was so cool!! and my college has a free yard sale where you can get things, like stuff you'd find at a thrift store, for free! I've gotten linens, cool bags, giant books! And there was even an event to show what clubs the college offered for valentines day. Science club had pinned bugs for sale!
hope i didn't hijack the post too much, have a nice day ^^^
