when i was younger i LOVEDD dantdm, and my dad hated him. for ages i thought it was a joke. sometimes he would say that he didnt deserve that fame because he "doesnt contribute to the world, all he does is sit there and play games" which i always thought was dumb. turns out, he was jealous the entire time. he would always put my interest in people like dan down becuase he was jealous that they were successful. hes had constant struggles trying to find jobs that fit his degree and phd for years and he would always tell me "dont be a historian." which i get it that sucks ass, but... do you have to put down a 7-9 year old kid because youre jealous and bitter? but that isnt where the story ends. when i turned 11 i had a youtube channel that was getting a fair bit of following. and one time when he was annoyed i said "you know, dan inspired me to do all this!" and he said
"well maybe if you never watched youtube in the first place, youd be smarter."
wow. what a cunt.

now my parents wont take me serious when i watch yt
