another writing prompt

okay, i just wrote one of my first silly blogs in a while so now we gotta balance it out with some mental health. so i don't lose my reputation.


Β boundaries i've created to maintain a healthier state of mind are ______.

during my process of self-healing, i've tried to work on creating boundaries and asking others to do the same with me, as it helps me understand my expectations and needs, as well as the needs of others around me. this might be an easier prompt with jot notes instead of sentences. i've made the following boundaries with myself:

- no alcohol for a year (minimum 6 months) to allow myself to feel my emotions and avoid escapism/adrenaline junky-ing

- heal myself before getting into any new relationships; romantic or otherwise (because wow new friendships are difficult too)

- two meals a day MINIMUM

boundaries for my relationships with others:

- no one is entitled to my time or respect, it is a gift i give out

- i am allowed to not respond to you; sometimes even texting becomes a chore because i am always worried i will get a text saying that i need to come to the hospital immediately

- respecting me because you think i am attractive is not respect, and i will not treat it as such

- my peace of mind and my comfort are the most important things. i live in my body, not you.
