My trip to Spain

Date: 24 june 2024 

I left for the trip the 15th of june on a saturday and arrived at around 16:00 in the afternoon that day. I met my friend who I would be staying with, her mom, and her moms bf. 

Not too much happened that day but the day after (on sunday) I got to meet a lot of her friends at a birthday party. They made Paella that was completely flavorless which we laughed abt. We played jackbox and I learned that they do not like muslims very much. It was fun when they did speak english but when they didn't it got pretty boring for me. 

Thru monday to friday I had classes between 09:00 and 13:00. After the class on monday I met up with some of the people I had met yesterday and we played some board games. 

The following days nothing super special happened but then on thursday we went together with some friends and watched Inside Out 2 in the cinema. Thankfully we watched it in English but with Spanish subtitles. I thought the movie was alright but ofc not as good as the first one. 

During the week I was also forced to watch Ginny and Georgia with my friend. We slept in the same room so we could talk for hours in there, and sometimes I went over to her bed to watch Ginny and Georgia on her laptop. I thought the show was pretty ridiculous but she said she really liked the show so I continued watching it with her. I got her to try Swedish candy and chocolate that I had brought with me, and she ofc had me try Spanish candy and food there. Her mom was nice but could not speak any English. The rest of her family could speak a little, her dad and her brother that is.

On the last day there we walked around Denia and I bought a souvenir that was a magnet looking like a paella. I also met her bf that last day. He was funny but could not speak to much English.

I left Spain the 22nd june, and my flight home went terrible in all sorts of ways. The flight was cancelled, then rebooked with a stop in Germany in between, the plane also stood still for an hour. Then I forgot my card and had to leave the airport and come back within an hour. When I landed in Germany I didn't know where to go, the plane was filled with ppl coughing, and when I landed in Sweden my suitcase was still in Germany (I still don't have it yet).

The day after I got sick (prolly cs of those ppl coughing in the plane). I threw up 9 times and couldn't do anything but lay on the floor.

Now however is the day after and I can finally stand and eat again. I had a great time in Spain and would do it again for sure. My only complain is maybe the heath, next time I should probably go when it is a bit colder there, and I definitely need to work on my spanish more. It was funny seeing how upset they were that I had been learning Mexican Spanish instead of "Spanish Spanish" (Castellano). I want to learn all kinds of Spanish but personally I kind of like Mexican Spanish more (don't tell them I said that).
