How many pairs of shoes could one need

I respect hobbies and obsessions as much as the next guy, but if I see a net worth of more than 1000 dollars in someone's shoe closet, we need to stage some kind of intervention. It's not like I have anything against people who ACTUALLY wear the shoes periodically; I can respect that. My main concern is how someone could have 12 different pairs of shoes, cycle through two or three, then let the rest rot in their closet. We need some kind of shoe protection agency. I'm 100 percent certain that money wasted could've went to something actually useful, but no. Here we are, surrounded by a maze of multicoloured crocs and sandals that never see the light of day. If I am walking with you and we stop so you can buy another pair of shoes that will never fulfil it's purpose and just becomes another ingredient the monstrous amalgamation you call a collection, hands are being thrown. In all seriousness, I'm just kidding. Live your life mon ami.
