I’m so sorry, Emma. I’m sorry that I didn’t take you to the vet earlier when we first moved here. I’m sorry that I wasn’t more perceptive to your weight loss and strange behaviors. I’m sorry for all of the times that I could’ve given you more attention but didn’t. Thank you for loving me anyway. Thank you for laying on me while I slept and being a comfort. Thank you for your headbutts and your licks. Thank you for your talkative meows. Thank you for being one of my first friends in Kentucky when I was 17 and I was mad that I had to move there. I was lonely and you found me. Thank you for being in my life from 2014 to 2024 when you moved with me to North Carolina, even if you weren’t here for very long. I love you so much, Little. I hope that I’ll see you again when it’s my time. I’m glad that I could be with you at the end of your life. I hope that you weren’t scared. I wish that I could hug you again. I miss you so much already.
