My most useful tip: don't try it. It's counterintuitive, but so are all good tips. If you put relaxing as a goal your mind will be pressured to achieve that in no time,a nd as it is unable to do so, it will fall a vice circle of worrying because you can't not-worry, so just lay there, maybe listening to music or the most boring podcast you find (like I do) and wait for sleep to arrive on its own. But again, without thinking of when will you sleep or despair because you're not sleeping, just exist there and pay attention to nothing, you'll fall asleep literally without even noticing
