interpretation

There is this person I want to be. There is so much beauty in her, but I can't help but feel deceived. Every day is the same routine. The days are getting longer, in this place made for me.

It wasn't your looks or you're pretty face. It was the way you light up the room with every pace. The way you made me feel will forever have first place. I see these beautiful things and can't help but think of you in its place. Tell me everything and I'll listen ear to ear. whisper the trouble and watch them disappear. Yet, that isn't my place. I don't get to have a say. Do you find me safe? Does my company make some things okay?

I take a step back and watch from my place. To see every tear streaking the cheeks of its prey. The ones I love I have to say was it me that caused all this pain? I want to take it all away to see your face light up and know it's okay. You were there for me so let me do the same. Tell me what you love and what you hate. What thoughts cross your mind when you stay up late? Tell me everything, I am a safe, with chains locking me in its place. you can say what you need to say. Without judgement I will stay.
