ppl who use character.ai kind of confuse me

so like im anti ai and terrified of all things ai related which probably doesnt help this opinion but hear me out anyway

so like i used 2 use c.ai a lot. not a lot lot like some of you guys, but whenever i was bored or thought it would be interesting to talk to a character. 

i think its like actually sad how normal its become for yall 2 have ai "therapists" or talk and chat 2 characters like they're real people. it feels so.... predatory? ive seen people get super upset when they talk to a character and they remind themselves that the character isnt real like.. i dunno it urks me. it sets something in me so very very wrong. and the romance stuff is even WORSE. please, i beg of you who use the app for romance shit like... go on ao3 or wattpad? because this shit gets stale after like 5 seconds.. and even if you dont really go 2 this character with the intent of getting with them they start flirting with you anyway. and it always the same basic stuff, like tiktok book stuff. HALF THE TIME ITS NOT IN CHARACTER! please go onto ao3 because you can find some good x reader fics with authors who actually understand how the characters would act instead of the time whole lines over and over

i seriously find it so odd and annoying because you cant talk 2 characters for long periods of time because no matter how much you remind them of stuff they forget everything. then you drop the character and move onto the next, like GOD. ugh, i dunno it just brings up this weird fear in me that our society is going 2 turn into this place where all anybody wants is short dopamine boosts and when that gets boring you just dump it and move on. short form content anybody? thats exactly what this is bro. 

i think as soon as they added the voice feature i decided i never wanted 2 come back. like its SO CREEPY. it just feels like its preying onto people. im an extremely lonley person but id rather make up a million characters in my brain to talk to than talk to a robot with a company behind it trying to get money from me because im depressed. and even still, in my lonley hours where i did talk to a character it made me feel 10x worse because this was NOT real. guys come onnnn.... just go read some hurt-comfort fics lmao

i get it if ur using to 2 fuck around but even still, it feels like your feeding it stuff to use 4 bad anyway? if that makes sense. not fully sure tho

this is more directed to the people who use it constantly rather than 2 fuck around with. GO ON AO3!!!!!!!
