Welcome, dear reader! Welcome to Rachel Mays Cavalcade of Small Desires, or as otherwise called flights of fancy in another world. You see; Ive been suffering from writers block. It sure may not be the happiest little ailment, but it in fact gave me an idea: how about, just for tonight, lets let the mask slip a little bit, shall we? After all life cant just be attitudes and platitudes, Im a pretty complex person.
So, nice to meet you dear reader! I typically call myself Rachel Rosethorn, so I guess this time you can call me Rachel May. A more casual, more standard me. Truth be told, away from all the hiding, Im a pretty normal gal. I listen to music, I draw, I play video games, I go on walks, truthfully theres nothing truly special.
Lately I have been playing KH1 for like the third time, and slowly working through tales of symphonia. I am working on a drawing I will be sending my mom soon in a letter, which we exchange for, some reason? Truth be told, Im not sure how it started. One day, she sent me a letter; I wrote and sent one back, and it just kinda never stopped. Its how we communicate.
I am currently listening to the album Blurryface while I write this, and am trying to shake off fake leather bits from a cheap plushie i got off ebay from 2007 that decided to shed all of its fake shine into my hair specifically today, lol. Seriously it feels like no matter how much I shake it out, it just keeps coming out. Damn you 2007 kh2 axel plushie!
I have been exchanging albums with a friend lately, and because of that ive been listening to a lot more pop music: I actually ended up quite liking twenty one pilots, I thought vessel and blurryface were really good. I also have been listening to Tally Hall: Good and Evil is one of my favorite albums ever
Ive been talking to this guy, don, more lately and hes really nice and treats me well, but tbh these days its hard to trust most guys. I guess you can blame my ex for that. Ive also had a fascination growing with watching the cars go by during my breaks at work; with no internet connection when im not home, Ive grown to appreciate the smaller things in life more and more. My thirty minute breaks at work have become a moment where i can slow down, draw, watch the cars, maybe get a snack, its been nice.
Once Im done writing this, Ill be hanging out with my dad, its been a while since we just kinda vibed. Its gonna be nice to just not think for a bit, maybe hook up a game or something.
So, dear reader, I ask: what are you like? What do you like? What is your favorite music album? Id like to hear more music!
-Rachel May, signing off for another day! Maybe next time Rachel Rosethorn will be back, maybe not
