True story

WEIRD BUT 100% TRUE STORY. 

It was I think 1996 or 97, can't remember which. I was very young. I was in a foster parent's home. I was having a dream about 3 girls. I don't remember names or faces anymore. But I remember the emotions and some of what we did in that dream. We were friends, we played tag and stuff all kinds of stuff. I remember the emotions because in my dream, I had a crush on the oldest girl.

Before I tell you this next part, it's important to know that I've never met these kids. Never knew them. Never seen them. They just appeared in a dream one night.

Well I wake up that morning. Get dressed, woke up, brush teeth, ect. Then my foster parent and I get in the car. I can't recall if my brothers were there too or if it was just me. Junior Owens or Randy Owens might remember. It was the foster parent that ate our birthday cake, took away our birthday gifts, abused us, ect. We use to ride her giant dog like he was a horse.

Anyway, her and I get in the car. She drives to the Walmart to get cigarettes and a newspaper. I had stolen a pack of juicy fruit gum from there while she was grabbing the paper.

We get back into the car. She turned the radio on. The news was playing and said something about a home invasion that led to an entire family being killed.

I pick up the paper and read it. It showed their faces. They were the kids I had dreamt about the night before. I was shocked and heart broken because I felt like my crush was killed. And she was. Even though to me, I only knew her in a dream, it was certainly them.

Someone had broke into their home overnight. Killed the dad and the mom. Then went after the kids. One went into the bathroom, one hid under the bed, and the girl I had a crush on had hid in a grandfather clock. All were strangled.

That's a part of my life that sticks with me to this day all these years later. 100% true story. Wish I could find the article on it but I don't think news outlets were around or using the web to post their stories at that time cause I can't find anything on it.
