It's like if someone gave you a puzzle book that had enough puzzles in it to eventually stump or bore you to quit. If you persist long enough, you might get an ending as a bonus. Even if you don't get a defined ending, the puzzles you do solve are satisfying enough to make you remember this game after you finish playing. You might even return to this game and still have a great time after forgetting the solutions. Even after logging over 50 hours now and solving some really tough puzzles (and failing to solve a simple mechanic intro puzzle by myself), I am still not finished. That's just how big this game is.
The game features a curated music collection for many great games to form this game's soundtrack. This is how I learned that Dustforce had a more interesting soundtrack than I assumed.
Normally I would let people just play the game casually, but because of this game's nature I personally don't recommend searching up puzzles unless you are sure you don't want to solve them. You might either come back and beat them, or feel dissatisfied when you keep looking up solves only to find harder puzzles or get a ending that doesn't feel genuine to yourself. It's up to you though to take the responsibility and risk though if not looking it up is suspected to be worse than doing it. I won't judge if you do, just a recommendation.
As of the latest updates, you can take notes by putting symbol or text based nodes on the puzzle the persist through saving and quitting. They are an amazing resource that made my return even better.
This game is exceptional, or at least in my opinion. I don't play many puzzle games because I normally don't find them interesting to buy them over watching someone. (Aliensrock. No fault of his though.) This one on the other hand is super fun and gave me a reason to not just watch videos of every puzzle game played by someone.
