Is game studies only for mathematical minds?

When I was 16 I found this interesting college/university major. Game studies. About creating games and professional gaming.

However, I thought I would never be able to go because it would require mathematical thinking and IT exams. Don't get me wrong, I love IT!!! But I absolutely hate and despise math. So, I gave up and started opting for language majors to become an English teacher.

I was pretty sure I'd be a good teacher, but something felt off... That being, I would not earn much money and it would not really be a dream job. I would enjoy it - I like teaching and interacting with children, however it's not something I'd absolutely reach for. It would take away the spotlight I was craving.

Last week, in social studies class, my teacher was chatting with us about where we'd like to go to uni or work. She mentioned that there's this major in game studies, where it's basically studying video games as a form of artwork. I checked it out and it was pretty much humanistic, language and art exams being the most desirable for the major.

To be honest, I'm very glad this exists. I can now become a digital creator or game critic, or who knows? maybe even a professional gamer, be happy and likely well-paid. IT-based jobs are currently most desirable, well paid and needed. So, I'm happy I can get a job in this area with majoring in something I both like and am good at.

So no, game studies are NOT only for mathematical minds.
