Super awkward

Happy Easter,

Today, I drove three hours to visit my friend who doesn't get out much because he is in a wheelchair.  He and his wife have been trying to set me up with this guy they know, so they invited him to dinner without telling me.  It ended up being all attention on us talking to each other.  Super awkward.  I just kept being silly and making jokes.  I guess that's what I do now when I'm nervous.

I was blessed by another friend they invited who shared his story and just completely poured out his heart over dinner.  He was so genuine and vulnerable when sharing his personal circumstances, and it was an opportunity to show compassion.  I was so honored he was willing to share with me.  What a lovely person.

When the conversation devolved into gossip, I took my leave.
