So I got forced to put a screen protector on my new phone, again, and immediately remembered why I stopped putting them on my previous phone.
Of course I don't like the thought of getting permanent scratches on my shiny pristine smooth new screen, but are air bubbles any less annoying? Now I have four of them trapped on my screen and they're as obvious as my acne breakouts. No matter how hard I press, it's clear I'm not getting rid of them. Big, ugly, Nickelodeon-splat-looking air bubbles.
And for what? So the damn thing takes TWO hits and gets all chewed out? The screen on my previous phone survived a fall onto a concrete garage floor with just a teeny little crack along the edge. Hell, the LCD inside the screen broke before the actual glass did. Meanwhile, no screen "protector" I put on it lasted more than three falls onto tile without cracking. So what is a screen protector actually protecting? It's like giving your character the weakest possible shield in a game.
